Thank you so much for participating in my documentary family session model call this winter! I intentionally took my time editing your gallery so I could learn as I go and give your photographs the time and attention they deserve. I hope you can see what I see— the connection, the love and the presence. These tiny moments make up our days and our days make up our lives. This is your life right now, as you are living it. And I am honored that I was able to capture a small slice of it.
When I look back at the photos from my childhood, the photos I value the most are the ones of my Grandpa playing on the floor with me, my Mom braiding my hair and the photo of me on the kitchen floor snuggling with our family dog. I want to preserve these moments for you to relish in for the rest of your lives and for your children to hold onto long into their own adulthood.
I have a series of questions here. I hope you will take the time to answer and give me feedback on how I can improve my connection to families (especially for those I have never met!) and how I can make these sessions feel natural and easy for every family. Any and all feedback is appreciated. While some of these questions creep into a world I am uncomfortable with ($$), I want to you to know that they are not directed at you or your family specifically but for me to gather general information about families like yours and how I can make this type of session work for the majority of families. Please be honest and know that I loved spending time with your family no matter the feedback you leave!
With extreme gratitude,
Sara
